If you’re familiar with Lone Star punker Mark Ryan, you know that the man doesn’t sit still for very long. Mark and his mates fired up THE MARKED MEN (Denton, TX) back in the early 2000′s after THE REDS ended. And these guys have released a pile of wildly popular punk-y/garage-y material over the years.
And…also along with doing part-time duty with HIGH TENSION WIRES, Mark just recently fired up a new band/project by the name of MIND SPIDERS.
These crazy bandoleros seem to continue to share the stage with each other, in different bands and side-projects – in some way or another (Mike Wiebe of the RIVERBOAT GAMBLERS also joins him on HIGH TENSION WIRES). And Mark clearly has a knack for working his ass-end off, while multi-collaborating across varying creative outlets.
Anyhoo…we could sit here all day and try to do 67 degrees of separation with Mark and all of his projects and bandmates. But the main idea here is that his latest project, MIND SPIDERS, is set to release some brand new punk-adelic Holly hell on the Dirtnap label. Currently set to be titled Meltdown, the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut – is set to be released in February 2012. Dig it.
