I suppose if we were consumed with ourselves most of the time, we would’ve found this news a few months ago. But 99 percent of the time, we’re so damb caught-up in promoting the rockomania, that we forget about ole #1 in most cases. So in typical “casually late” fashion, we just recently just found it this week. And if you’re wondering HOW we found it…well…we actually have to thank Paper.li. Because while we were doing some behind-the-scenes type testing and research of the latest Paper.li mods and revamp, we happened to randomly find a mention of #rockthought there within (thee ole Interwebs work in mysterious ways, sometimes, don’t they?).
Anyhoo…for those engaged in social/new media professions, you’re well aware of Mashable. You’re well aware that it’s essentially THE premier resource for the latest social media, business, and tech/lifestyle trends. You’re well aware of its “behemoth” stature as an online media powerhouse. Essentially, it’s become a USA Today/New York Times/WSJ - for all things techie/social media, right?
For those unfamiliar with Mashable, I’ll just say this…
If and when Mashable FINDS you – it’s kind’ve a big deal. If and when Mashable takes attention to and/or actually cares to NOTICE you – it’s kind’ve a big deal. If and when Mashable actually cares to mention, drop your name/brand, or write about you in an article that they feature – it’s kind’ve a bit of a big deal.
When Mashable drops your name/brand at the top of an “Essential” list – it’s really kind’ve sort’ve a little bit of a pretty big deal. At least for the ones said lucky enough.
The Mashable article I’m referring to – is this one. And lead writer Stephanie was mucho kind-o enough to not only mention rockthought.com among 12 Essential Pinterest Boards for SXSW 2012 – she mentioned rockthought.com at NUMERO UNO – atop that list.
