A Tribute To Cory Smoot (aka “Flattus Maximus”)

by ROCKTHOUGHT.COM | FOLLOW on FACEBOOK | FILED in VIDEOS

We’ve all heard the news. It sucks. And as MetalSucks reported earlier today, GWAR guitarist, producer, and all around good man Cory Smoot has passed.

Cory had been in GWAR as “Flattus Maximus” since around 2002 and was the longest serving musician to portray the “Flattus Maximus” character in the band.

Not only was Smoot a super talented musician and axe-man, he also owned and operated Karma Studios in Richmond, VA. His passing is not only a tragic loss to his loved ones and the entire GWAR family of fans, friends, and followers – but also a devastating loss to the city of Richmond and the local music community there as well. Here are some vids we pulled from around the YT to remember him by.

Our thoughts and condolences are with everyone and anyone who knew Cory – and especially his family.
